Obama in a headdress??

Obama says that America is making progress on Native American problems. We have done many things to improve their conditions, however we still have a lot to do. For example clean energy products, high-speed internet access investments, and protection of their lands by national monuments. Obama says "I've heard you. I have seen you. And I hope I've done right by you" (US News) to the people who were at the conference, most of which were from the 567 tribes that are federally recognized. Before beginning his speech Obama stopped to participate in a "traditional honoring ceremony" which included wearing a colorful robe and cone like hat. Obama described the ceremony as "a moving reminder of  the great friendships that we've developed".
